To add a camera, you have to follow these steps (see Figure 1):
- Go to Control Panel
, you can find it in the bottom right corner of the starting interface.
- When the Control Panel menu opens, go to the Cameras tab located in the navigation bar.
- When the Cameras tab opens, click the "+" sign
located in the bottom right corner to open two options:
a)Add Cameras Automatically
b)Add Cameras Manually

Add Cameras automatically
To add a camera automatically, you must first select the location you wish to add the camera to, from a drop-down menu, and click the Scan button (see Figure 2).

After the initial scan, you should be able to see all the cameras existing in your network. Select the cameras you want to add to the Vision user interface by clicking the “Add” button (see Figure 3).

The camera is now in the system and can be seen in the Cameras tab. Double-click the newly added camera to preview all details (see Figure 4).

Once you’ve opened camera details, the only two fields you have to enter are camera username and password. After you’ve entered the correct info click the “Connect” button. The remaining fields will be automatically filled. (see Figure 5)
If you wish to change the name of the camera, you can do so in the Camera name field.

You can preview the recently added camera in the “Cameras” tab.
To delete the camera click on the “Delete Camera” button and confirm by pressing the Delete button on a pop-up window. (see Figure 6)

Add Cameras manually
Prior to adding the camera manually you first have to choose the location for which you’re adding the camera. You can choose to add multiple cameras in a dropdown menu as well. Click the “Add” button to preview added cameras in the camera list. (see Figure 7)

The cameras will be added and visible on the Cameras tab. Find the camera you added and click it to enter the camera details (see Figure 8).
When the camera is added manually, the camera details require you to enter the information manually, the information you need to enter is:
- Camera Name.
- RTSP URL.
- Camera Address.
- RTSP port.
- Username and Password.
When all this information is entered, click the Connect button.
How to create an RTSP URL?
An example of RTSP URL for HIKVISION cameras:
rtsp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@IPADDRESS:RTSPPORT/Streaming/Channels/101 -> Primary RTSP URL
rtsp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@IPADDRESS:RTSPPORT/Streaming/Channels/102 -> Secondary RTSP URL

For most cameras, the RTSP port will always be 554.

AI Services
To enable the AI service, go to the AI Services tab in the camera details and click the Enable AI Processing (see Figure 9).
When AI processing is enabled, People Counting will always be active. While face recognition, age, and gender prediction can be turned on or off.

Identity Anonymize - NSoft Vision solution is fully GDPR compliant. The identity anonymize feature allows you to exclude the personal data of recognized identities in Live View. We recommend that you select this option if required by regulations in your country.
