As outlined in the other manuals, the Directory section in Vision provides an overview of all identities within the system. It offers detailed information about each identity, including their sightings, similar profiles, and activity history.
Previously, the Directory displayed only identities generated through/with Face Recognition (if a Face Recognition was enabled on one or more cameras in the system) or those imported using one or more images.
Now, users can manually add identities without requiring images or turning on Face Recognition. By simply entering the relevant information, users can create profiles tailored to their needs. This enhancement addresses client requests to use Vision as a player/identity database, such as for registration purposes or identity scans, making it a versatile tool for various use cases.
Creating New Identity
The option to create a new identity is available on a floating button in the lower left corner or the screen along with the option to export identities or import identities.

When clicked, it opens up Create Identity flyout allowing users to fill out necessary fields. Depending on the clients, they can feel out the basics or more detailed information. Only Name and Surname along with Display Name are mandatory.

Viewing Identities
Manually created identities contain fewer details and fewer tabs compared to those generated through Face Recognition (AI). These identities include only an Overview tab, which displays the entered information, and a Docs section for uploading relevant files. Tabs such as Similar, Sightings, and Activity are not available for manually created identities.

As other identities, these can be flagged, exported, edited or deleted.
